For shopping, many find Antique Row on Howard Avenue to be the ideal location to uncover something special, whether it is a gift or something suited to the home. The Kensington Shopping Center is the largest true shopping center in the city with all of the necessities.

Noyes Children’s Library is a fantastic little nook offering lots of books, educational programs, and social groups when it comes to things to do.

Things to Do

Those planning to spend some time exploring Kensington will find much to love. Antique Row is a must-visit location on a routine basis to find out what's new and special. The farmers' market at the Train Station is an excellent place to visit each Saturday throughout the year. The station and parking lot is a hub for various events as well. The Marc Station is a simple way to get into DC or out past Harper's Ferry. It’s maintained by the Maryland Transit Administration.
